This presentation will explore the reasons for the creation of the electoral college in the Constitution, the significant changes in its operation over the years, and proposals for amending or abolishing it. There will also be a discussion of the pros and cons of the electoral college versus proposed reforms.

About the Presenter: Judge Marlinga is a graduate of the University of Detroit with a major in history and a minor in political science. He is also a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. In his legal career he has served as a prosecuting attorney, a probate court judge, and a circuit court judge. His classes are always very informative, erudite and extremely popular with MORE attendees.
